A Common Sign That Your Relationship Needs Professional Help: Frequent Arguing and Fighting

Some couples may find themselves arguing frequently and they may tell themselves that this is normal "for them" and that they don't need to change their dynamic. The problem is that sometimes one member of a couple starts getting more tired of arguing than the other, and the relationship starts to break down.

Are you in a relationship now, or have you ever been in one, where there are frequent arguments and conflicts? While there is no textbook that shows what is a "normal" amount of arguing, I would say -- or argue (pun intended) -- as a psychologist that having an argument with someone more than once per week is frequent.

If you are in a relationship where this happening, talk to your partner and suggest that the two of you consider talking to a therapist to get help with your issues. Sometimes having someone objective to support you both can really help you as a couple.

Check out my new video on the topic below.
