There may be times or rare cases when letting go of something or someone isn't too difficult; it happens with a sense of peace and acceptance. Yet other times, letting go may be extremely emotionally painful. The process of letting go involves a mix of all sorts of emotions, often including sadness and anger, perhaps disappointment and even frustration.
If there is a person whom you are having a really difficult time letting go of, there is no one simple reason why it's so difficult. But one possible reason can be that you are telling yourself about the lost relationship -- a belief you have about it -- that is making it more difficult for you to let go.
On Tuesday, my new video will be released on this topic on my YouTube channel, Dr. Seth: Psychologist. If you subscribe to my channel, it will be sent to you in your feed. If you're someone who prefers to listen to the episode as a podcast, you can find it at all the podcast platforms. Here's the link for my podcast, Psyched! with Dr. Seth, on Spotify.
