The Stereotype of the MONSTER-in-Law Mother-in-Law Is Not True!

There is a very negative stereotype about mothers-in-law to the point that they are often portrayed as caricatures in movies and television. However, my clinical experience has shown me that this stereotype is untrue - and is consistent with other views that are especially negative toward women.
